I've got baby fever something terrible these days, so when Melissa asked about doing an in-home session with baby Mae I could've squealed. Those cheeks and tiny yawns! That newborn smell! Makes me SO. HAPPY.

We spent a leisurely two hours playing. Storytime with Big Sister Gianna. Cuddles with mama. Family doodling time. Pillow fights and giggles. And even though there were poopy diapers and a few meltdowns, I love in-home sessions so much because you're in the comfort of your space on your schedule. Toddler tantrums? No big deal. Impromptu wardrobe change? Go for it. Baby needs to eat or daddy *needs* to catch a few minutes of the game? We can make that happen, and take your time while you're at it. I can shoot other things while you're dealing with whatever life just threw at us.

And I love that these were real moments in this very real - and sometimes hard - time in their lives. They have beautifully captured images to remember it all by.
